    Job Description

    The Director of Healthcare Administration (Nursing Home Administrator) is responsible for planning, organizing, administrating and directing the broad health services program which includes our Health Care Center, memory care area, and auxiliary health services.  Ensures that the overall healthcare program is measured for quality, compliance, and customer service and proactively takes steps to maintain and increase the census in the healthcare areas.  This position serves on the Senior Leadership Team of the organization and works in cooperation with other leaders of our Continuing Care Retirement Community. 

    The ideal candidate for this position has a degree in Health Care Administration or a related field, a current Nursing Home Administrator license with 5 years Nursing Home Administrator experience (additional certification or education advantageous), and three to five years related work experience in long term care or a similar field is preferred. Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations and guidelines.  He or she has knowledge, skills, and abilities in all aspects of Health Care Administration and is focused on the elderly and long term care population. In addition, the Director of Healthcare Administration must have effective oral and written skills, computer and software skills, good time management, strong leadership and team building skills, strong budgetary and decision making skills, and professional demeanor.
