    Job Description
    The Director of Companions (Caregivers) serves as the Administrator of the Caring Companions Department. This position oversees the daily operations of the department and ensures compliance with state regulations for home based care services.  Supervises and maintains adequate departmental staff, manages departmental budget, and communicates with our internal residents and families regarding services offered.  Ensures that services are carried out in a manner consistent with the policies, mission and values of St. James Place. This position is supported by a departmental Care Manager and Scheduling Coordinator.
    A Bachelors degree, plus a minimum of four years of verifiable experience working in a field providing services to the elderly and/or persons with developmental disabilities; or Six years verifiable experience in the health or social services business plus four years experience working with the elderly and/or persons with developmental disabilities will be considered.
    Knowledge of state regulations for home and community based service providers or assisted living. Supervisory/leadership experience; management of large departments a plus.
